Mountain Crest High School

Loved High School, particularly playing football and wrestling, but the one thing I remember most was how much I was looking forward to the future.

I couldn’t have asked for a better place to attend high school than Mountain Crest. I had amazing wrestling coaches in Davy Swenson and Guy Burdett with a team state championship my sophomore year and a fourth place personal finish at 140 pounds my senior year. I had a great football experience playing for Coach Cox and then Coach Erickson, winning a state championship my sophomore year and playing on varsity for three years. I had wonderful teachers, of which my AP History and Goverment teacher Mrs. Obray provided the most memorable experience as my “We The People…” coach, leading our “We the People…” team to win the state competition and compete at the national competition in Washington D.C. I made some amazing friends and had the best classmates, most of which I have (shamefully) never spoken to since my speech at graduation. Despite such a wonderful experience, what I remember most about high school was how much I was looking forward to the future.
